| Big Mac was found as a stray. He's a husky/shepherd mix, about
2 years old and 70 lbs. Big Mac loves all the people he meets but
should be the only pet in the house. Big Mac is safe but he's not
happy in his boarding facility so we'd love to find him a home
quickly. Note from
the volunteer that found him: When I first saw Big Mac, he
was running down a busy street. I jumped
into my car
and found him running in circles around the block. Neighbors
said he’d been running in the same area for a week. I think
he was searching for the person that likely dumped him there.
He was a
mess – painfully thin, soaking wet, covered in
dirt, a gash on his face and blood on his feet from nails that
had been worn too short. I called him over to me and he swung
his head around and looked at me with the saddest eyes I’ve
ever seen. I called him again and he slowly walked over to me
and just laid his big head in my hands with a huge sigh of relief.
After some good food and TLC, Big Mac has become one of the
most beautiful dogs I've ever seen. He adores walks and could
go for miles if you're up for it. I've never walked a dog before
that gets so many compliments on the street! He's generally laid
back but has a playful side too - just look for the twinkle in
his eye.
